“Some may assume that upholding or defending the truth is free of costs because, after all, it is the right thing to do. They are however unfortunately wrong. The truth often costs dearly: it costs one’s reputation, one’s career, one’s livelihood, one’s life and even one’s freedom. The truth can cost its defenders everything, but to those who can bare the cross of defending the truth, the reward is far greater than words can explain and numbers can calculate.”

“To the dead of the past few centuries whose speculative ideas did not perish with their flesh and continue to rot our hearts from within: you left us to fight the wars you started. Damn you all!”

“Misanthropy develops when reason becomes king. Misanthropy is the by-product of an overly rational person. Man is not to be understood by reason alone and therefore, when we look only with rational eyes at man and his world, we are revolted by his many faults and evil deeds. But, if we shall change the lenses and seek to look at the world through the eyes of faith, reason, imagination and intuition, we will never become misanthropes for we shall be overwhelmed with either mercy (if the faith comes from a joyful mysticism) or with urgent lament (if faith comes from dreary mysticism).”

“I would rather have a church, synagogue or mosque being built next to my house than a shop, car park or entertainment centre. The more I look around, the more I see the bastard children of modernity devouring the values that gave birth to them. And the more I see this, the more I am convinced that there were elements of pre-modernity – and by these “elements” I mean the religious aspect of life – that were greatly superior to the rhythm of our lives today.”

“When I think about life – specifically about the fact that I still have another 40 or even more years on this planet, with so many people, in this society – it is utterly depressing. All these decades surrounded by fear for survival, progress and entertainment.”

“The Truth can be ignored but cannot be denied.”

“Blind belief in tradition is as stupid as no belief in tradition.”

“Derrida was correct in saying that words are frameworks in which meaning is inserted. But he was wrong in how that meaning is placed inside the framework – inside the symbol. The meaning is not given by the individual as a result of power dynamics, but through the collective unconsciousness of Jung’s psychology, reflecting the soul of a group, of a tribe, or of a nation.”

“In society, only the Devil can survive. To be closer to the Divine, one must leave behind the citadel of bones that mankind has built in its frightful frenzy as protection against death.”

“I must accept that I am an irrationalist of the most radical kind. As far as I can see, science, technology and reason do not lead to objectivity, to universality and to the Truth (the Absolute). Nor do imagination, intuition and emotion. Our senses are forever enslaved by nature and in nature. The objective and universal world belongs to transcendent dogmas, accessible only to the soul.”

“Man has three parts, mystically linked – body, mind and soul; each with their own, specific cognitive tools. The body has the sensations (sight, smell, taste, tactile, hearing) and instincts (to survive, to mate and so on). The mind has reason, imagination and intuition. Intuition and instincts are linked – mystically – and thus we can see, albeit vaguely, a bridge between the body and the mind in this relationship. The soul has faith, which operates through revelation and inspiration. Faith is more of a gateway from the Divine to us, rather than a path from us to the Divine. All these three parts of man – body, mind and soul – with their cognitive tools must be acknowledged for man to be complete.”

“Those who want to defend the Truth must be ready to fight against their own family and friends.”

“Nihilism is the natural consequence of a rational approach to life. Therefore, to avoid a nihilist approach to existence, knowledge and the nature of being, one must reject reason as the primary lens through which life is viewed and understood and embrace the irrational: faith.”

“I know see, clearly and without any doubt, with outmost certainty, that is intellect – rational, artistic, philosophic, practical – that is the source of all suffering which, in turn, is the by-product of rejecting the true and only source of meaning in life: faith. But faith cannot be found in books, it cannot be found in words or in churches. Faith is only to be found in repeated actions which make up a rhythm of life, a rhythm which is quickly becoming extinct in our age…”

“We are at war: destruction, confusion, death, hidden interests, stupidity, brutality, discrimination, mercy, charity, bravery, acts of heroism, more confusion and blame games. An invasion of a sovereign nation, for reasons that to many seem superficial or insane, has happened: the defenders of globalisations are now mute on their calls to eliminate borders and the nation-state and have become strong defenders of what they have argued against for so long. What does this tell us about their interests? Meanwhile, some of those who have kept their chests high with patriotic pride are refusing to stand for the victimised country because members of the opposing political faction are showing support for the millions of displaced people who were forced to abandon everything in the middle of the dark night. I ask of you: do you now see the real face of civilisation?”
