Re-imagining Marxist salvation: the litany of glorious socialism

Over the years, I’ve heard many things about communism. It was discussed in school, in news reports, online, and in numerous books and movies.

Growing up, socialism was taught in school as an economic system, a stop on the inevitable path to communism. Popularized by Karl Marx, the main theme was “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs”. Usually socialism was deemed ‘bad’, but as I grew older I learned that nations viewed socialism differently. This even included people here in America.

Today, the talk surrounding socialism has changed. Capitalism is now deemed as bad and socialism is portrayed as good, even noble. I hear reports promoting socialism as “democratic”, Black Lives Matter proudly exclaiming “We are trained Marxists”, and the World Economic Forum declaring “You will own nothing and be happy”.

I was confused. Is socialism good or bad? What is it really?

In order to find out the answer, I set out to learn more.

Over the past two years, I read numerous books both for and against Marxism, socialism, and communism, including the Communist Manifesto. I listened to radio shows, watched many videos, read speeches, and discussed ideas with other people. I pondered what Marx and Engels envisioned.

Then the scales fell from my eyes after I discovered the works of Mark Levin, James Lindsay, Jan Kozak, and Stephen Hicks. I realized my thoughts on socialism were wrong. I realized socialism is severely misunderstood by many people today.

I discovered socialism is glorious! It is more than an economic system, more than a philosophy. It is something to believe in. Something to aspire to. Something from the experts to cure the inequities of the world. Because this is a magnificent path to salvation and should be made easy to understand, I created a meditation to honor the Marxist faith.

THE LITANY OF GLORIOUS SOCIALISM

Now we gather proclaiming Socialist glory. We rejoice and celebrate its bounty.

Our inclusiveness welcomes the glorious victories of Democratic Socialism; Progressivism; Communism; all the Collectivist brethren; and especially Marxism and its variants: American Marxism, Cultural Marxism, Neo-Marxism, Wokeism, and Critical Theory.

Once perfected, imagine how wondrous the world will be.

Celebrate! Rejoice!
